Somewhere On Cape Cod
Challenge
Experimenting and creating interactive animation using the program Rive. Focusing on gaining a foundation of the software, as well as its advantages in vector animation and interactivity. Inspired by the scenery on Cape Cod and themed around the beginnings of a summer vacation. This was my first time using and learning this software.

Animation "States"
Rive's interactivity allows you to have an animation trigger based on mouse hovers, clicks, and movement. Along with that, having multiple overlapping animations with different triggers. Each "State" of an object seen below comprises of multiple timelines corresponding to a different part of its animation.
Proximity Animation
Unlike After Effects, Rive allows you to create bone or joint rigs that can be weighted. Each point seen below is given a percent of its weight to certain bones. Rive also lets you keyframe the points and Bezier handles themselves separately. Allowing me to deform shapes and curves when needed.
