Styleframe Sequence

'23

Focusing on creating a three frame styleframe sequence that connected one area or "scene" to another. As opposed to only relying on more motion design reference, the project revolved around also using inspiration from the outside world. In this case, specifically the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Using photo reference to explore shape-based abstraction and consistent shape language.

Software

Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Mostly using vector shapes that would produce a more flat look, while still having depth in the scene with the use of subtle texture, shading, and heavily focusing on value contrast.

Creating a set of shape languages and exploring how they could be used to visualize shapes found from the garden. This would later help push towards what would be used in the final look.
